Medical Services
The Primary Care Improvement Project provides primary and specialty health care services to PLWH in the North Central Region of Missouri. Established by a grant from the Missouri Foundation for Health, the program serves HIV+ individuals who are uninsured or underinsured. The goals of the project are to improve the availability of health care for people living with HIV, provide support to providers of HIV care, and increase utilization of primary care by PLWH.
Established in 2005 with a grant from the Missouri Foundation for Health, the HCV/HIV Early Intervention Project is a collaborative project between Rain and the Missouri Hepatitis C Alliance (MOHCA). The program serves persons at risk for, or diagnosed with HCV, by providing: testing and counseling, referrals to medical care, laboratory services, and medications. We provide services at little or no cost to the patient. The goal of the program is to identify individuals who are Hepatitis C positive, link them to care, and provide support during the treatment process. We are also working to increase the capacity of the health care network eastern Missouri to provide education and care to people at risk for, or infected with, Hepatitis C.
