Rain of Central Missouri is hosting its 15th Annual Salute To Life Walk in Columbia’s Stephens Lake Park on Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Games and activities precede the walking parade, including giant tricycle races, temporary tattoos, contests, prize give-a-ways, and more. Contact Rain at (573) 875-8687 if your organization is interested in sponsoring the walk or having an information booth at the event.
Rain has been providing direct support to individuals living with HIV and conducting HIV prevention education for over 15 years. Rain also addresses the needs of individuals at risk for, or diagnosed with, Hepatitis C (HCV), and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs). Rain provides programs and services to assist these individuals in order to improve their health and overall quality of life.
Join Rain in showing support to those infected and affected by HIV and helping to prevent the spread of this disease to the next generation by attending the Salute to Life Walk. This year, Rain is partnering with local businesses and corporate sponsors to provide HIV, HCV and STD patients with necessary medical services, medications, housing and utility assistance, emergency food, counseling and on-going support.
